Dr. Bryan Neo
Bryan Neo is a Clinical Psychologist interested in clinical practice, research, and teaching. His research interest is in psychological assessment, with a special interest in the conceptualisation and measurement of psychopathic and callous-unemotional (CU) traits.
Bryan completed a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of New South Wales, Sydney. His PhD research focused on identifying the critical age period to prioritise early intervention efforts for young children with conduct problems and CU traits, as well as evaluating the psychometric properties of a structured professional judgement tool for assessing CU traits. Bryan also holds a Master of Psychology (Clinical) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Science (Psychology) with First Class Honours from the Australian National University, Canberra. He was awarded the Australian Psychological Society prize and Honours Psychology Thesis prize for his academic excellence.
Bryan has clinical experience with children, adolescents, and adults, across community and forensic settings. He has also taught a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s level) courses in areas of clinical and forensic psychology.
