Geena Shin
Geena is a registered psychologist who specialises working with children and adolescents from 3 to 18 years old. She works with young people across a range of developmental milestones, developmental disorders and mental health presentations.
Geena completed her Bachelor of Psychological Science (Honours) at UNSW and Master of School Psychology at The University of Sydney. Geena is a published author of a journal article based on her Honours Thesis, investigating the role of sex hormones on attentional bias to threat, examining the underpinnings of anxiety disorders and treatment specifically for women. She is a Department of Education Scholarship Recipient where she has since been working across various school settings (Schools for Specific Purposes, Early Intervention, Support Class, High Schools) to provide psychometric assessment and mental health counselling services.
Geena works with children and adolescents within a private practice setting as well and is passionate about providing evidence-based intervention for families, cultivating adaptive skills and strengthening protective factors to create meaningful lives.
She is currently working across both school clinics in Ingleburn PS and Condell Park PS to deliver PCIT.
